Dale’s Beef or Chicken Stroganoff in Slow Cooker
1kg sliced beef or chicken breast (2.2lb)
2 medium brown caramelised onions
1 1/2 cups beef or chicken stock
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/2 cup sweet paprika
Parsley and chives, fresh, chopped
3 tsp Celic sea salt
500g sliced brown button mushrooms
1/2 cup cup sour cream
Combine water, stock powder, paprika and tomato paste and pour in next.
Put beef in the bottom the slow cooker next.
Next add spring onions and mushrooms.
Put cover on and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours.
30 minutes before serving, turn to HIGH. Make a smooth paste of liquid stock and arrowroot. Stir into slow cooker mixing well. Add parsley and chives and any extra seasoning at this time.
Cover and cook until thickened.
